Whew! Story is slightly creepy but interesting and puzzles were good enough to keep playing.. Nothing horrible. Just a puzzle game with a fairly simple mechanic, although none of it is explained in the game so you may find yourself wondering what the hell it wants you to do at early on. Also I'm not sure what you're actually supposed to do at the login screen at the beginning? I put in a password from the Demo and a username I found in the Steam discussions, which took me to a desktop with all the notes decrypted. Then I "logged out" and it instantly put me at the actual game desktop, so...eh. I think they were going for a thing where you "hack" your way into the account to start by finding a hidden login, but that seems like a huge nuisance for what you get in the game.And yeah, ultimately it's just a puzzle game. Basically don't give a damn about any of the wrapping it comes in, there's no worthwhile story and no conclusion. You decrypt files for your apparently ♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss, they're all chat logs where you can only see 1 side, then when you finish your boss IMs you saying she's disappointed you looked at them, I guess. Some of the puzzles were a little tricky and took awhile, but ultimately I just feel unsatisfied. Not cheated, the brain excercise was worth the $2.50 I paid but it wasted a good bit of effort on the framework around the puzzles for how little it does with it.I think there's some vague notion that an ex-employee was working on an AI, maybe. And now his missing. And he's the missing half of these chat logs, so maybe the girl he's talking to is another AI? It's all unclear and pointless. It was also unclear whether the Demo was actually more of a prequel, as I seemed to need to go to it to get into the main game, but the 2 don't feel super connected. The demo has you decrypt diary entries of your boss talking about the guy she's screwing, but it doesn't seem to be the same guy from the chat logs of the main game? I think? Again, all unclear.Basically if you want to do some logic puzzles for a few hours and this is on sale it's not bad. But ignore everything around it, and just look up whatever the hell you need to bypass the nuisance login starting screen..
